With so many different schedules and demands on people’s time these days, The Holistic Way sets up Reiki courses with every effort to accommodate your schedule. As a result, courses are often taught privately, which keeps with the way Reiki was traditionally taught, and allows the course is cater to your individuals needs, interests, and questions. There are times when a couple of individual schedules match nicely, and in those cases, class sizes are kept intimate and won’t exceed 4 people.

Catherine teaches the Reiki courses and feels that it is very important that each Reiki student feels comfortable to contact her with any questions or experiences they may have or want to share. She honours the relationships she has with each student and feels strongly that the bond between the Reiki Master and Student is one that lasts forever.

Reiki Level I

In this first Reiki level you will learn to heal yourself and others on, predominantly, the physical level.

This course is taught over a two-day period, preferably consecutive. You will be provided with a 50+ page manual, and the course covers the basics of Reiki (i.e. history, philosophy, benefits, how it works, etc…) how to treat yourself and others, as well as some additional information on the chakras and anatomy. The theoretical part of Reiki is covered on the first day, and the practical component on the second. On the second day, you will get the opportunity to do a full treatment on yourself and another, as well as receive an attunement (which is basically an energetic initiation to Reiki).

Upon completing your in-class days, you will have some casework to complete. Once you have completed the casework, we will meet to go over your experiences and discuss any questions you may have. During this last meeting you will be given a certificate dated for the day you received your attunement.

Reiki Level II

It is strongly recommended that you leave at least 4 weeks between Reiki level I and II – this is necessary to ensure you fully complete the physical cleanse that comes with the first level. The second level taps into the mental/emotional body, allowing you to begin healing yourself and others on this level. You will find that your healing ability and intuition is significantly deepened as the first three symbols are learned, and distant healing is explored. To aid you within the mental/emotional journey that comes with this level, you will be provided with you a mental/emotional meditation.

The level II training places more emphasis on the practical side of Reiki. There is one in-class day, after which time you will be asked to do case work assignments to give you time to explore your deepened healing and intuitive abilities. Similar to Reiki I, once you have completed your casework we will meet shortly to go over your experiences and any questions that may have come up, and you will get a certificate dated for your attunement day.

Reiki Level III (Master/Teacher)

It is strongly recommended that you allow at least 6 months between Reiki II and III to ensure you have completed your mental/emotional cleanse.

With this final Reiki level, the spiritual significance of Reiki takes full effect on a personal and healing level. During Reiki III (Master/Teacher) you will be guided through the process of teaching Reiki I, II, and III (Master/Teacher) to both adults and children, learn the meaning and application of the master symbols, how to pass attunements, and how to use crystals during treatments. You will also be given some techniques for helping to deepen your energetic intuition prior to giving a treatment, and will be provided with various meditations to help you with your teaching and personal journey. Similar to Reiki I and II you will be given casework to allow you to explore, and gain greater comfort and ease with this final Reiki level.
